2800 N Pine Grove Avenue 8CD

Iconic, architectural, and anything but ordinary. Set on the 8th floor of the historic Brewster Building in East Lakeview, this incredibly rare three-bedroom combined corner residence is a true Chicago original, blending incredible historic character with thoughtful modern updates. Soaring 10-foot ceilings, gorgeous original woodwork, and the Brewster's signature turret with curved glass windows give this home a personality all its own. Incredible natural light pours in throughout the day, with a beautiful peek of the lake adding to the experience. The floor plan has been thoughtfully improved for modern living, including the addition of a new hallway that creates a more natural flow throughout the combined residence. Recent updates include a refreshed primary bath, new kitchen countertops and oven, two new electrical panels, two new water heaters, an updated water line, a new A/C unit in the primary bedroom, and central air throughout the remainder of the home. And yes, there is in-unit laundry. The fireplace is decorative only. Then there is the Brewster itself. One of Chicago's most unforgettable residential buildings, its rusticated stone and terra cotta facade gives way to a dramatic interior atrium unlike anything else in the city. Historic iron staircases, glass-block catwalks, a European-style cage elevator, bike room, storage, on-site management, and doorman staff add to the building's singular character. All of this in the heart of East Lakeview, moments from the lakefront and surrounded by restaurants, shops, entertainment, and public transportation. Historic, quirky, sophisticated, and completely one of a kind, this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Chicago architecture that simply cannot be replicated.
